Appli-Play

Four Easy Pieces, Intermediate Applique, and Blue Ribbon Applique are a series of four classes each that teach the art of Appli-Play© in all its facets.

The complete Appli-Play© course contains 12 lessons and takes a beginning student from the simplest form of applique (fusing) right through to hand needle-turn techniques. Each successive lesson builds upon the one before it to support and guide as you learn all the skills you will need to create applique quilts. Some easier techniques you will want to use for wall hangings; some others for baby and quilts you will give as gifts. Magic Stack ‘n’ Whack Quilt — Beginner Friendly

Want to have a great time cutting up? You’ll see kaleidoscopes appear before your eyes just like magic. You and your classmates will be saying, “oooo” and “aaaahhh”, and “look at this one!” Stack ‘n’ Whack is more than just a class, it’s just plain stellar fun! Click here for more information!

Watercolor Heart Quilt — Beginner Friendly

If you like puzzles, you’ll love this class! We’ll take lovely floral fabric(s) with lots of “edge,” cut it up into 2” squares, and reassemble the squares into a floral heart wallhanging. Click here for more information!

Practically Perfect Patchwork Class Series
Based on the book,
The Essential Guide to Practically Perfect Patchwork

Practically Perfect Patchwork, Let’s Finish that Quilt!, Let’s Quilt that Quilt! and Binding Reunion — completion of these four courses result in a finished quilt for the student. Each lesson builds on the one before it. There are 12 lessons in the series. These classes are carefully constructed to be a gradual and non-threatening introduction into quilting for beginners and a primer for those who have been quilting but wish to learn how to stitch patchwork with more ease and accuracy. Stack 'n' Whack/SHORT STACK Christmas Table Runner

Sunday, December 11 at Quiltworks Want to make a quick and easy table runner for yourself or as a gift? This new twist on Stack 'n' Whack not only makes it unique, but also versatile. And it truly is fast. You'll have most of the blocks made and instructions on how to finish it by the end of class. Find out when this class is being offered.

Finishing School

Do you have a project that’s got you stumped? Then this class is for you! Michele will help you learn how to complete your project. Sessions are held at QuiltWorks, 208 E. Main Street in Palmyra. You will need to phone ahead (315-597-4800) to reserve your spot. At that time, please indicate what kind of project you’re working on so that Michele can bring along any instructional materials. Additionally, you could also contact Michele though this website to cover what you’re planning to work on. Find out when this class is being offered.

Second Annual Quiltworks Strippy Lockdown

Save the date: Saturday, February 18, 2006. You can see from the photos on this website what a great time we had at the last Strippy Lockdown. Come join your friends for fun, food, and stripping!
